"There's such a lot of different Annes in me. I sometimes think that is why I'm such a troublesome person. If I was just the one Anne it would be ever so much more comfortable, but then it wouldn't be half so interesting."

and yet another belief of mine ~ totem animals

sometimes people think I am weird, yes truly they do! They come to my home and begin to wonder about my sanity. You see, I cover all bases with my spiritual beliefs. I have statues of Mary, Joseph and St Therese scattered about my home. I have crucifixes and rosary beads - bells & tassles. I have altars to various gods scattered about my home.
My main altar is my heart belief - wiccan/pagan.
I have the Goddess Kwan Yin in my bathroom, buddhist prayer flags hanging around my home, I burn incense and on my front door I have oak twigs tied with red ribbon. I grid my home with crystals and I cast spells when I feel the urge. I talk to dead people and sometimes they answer. I believe I am surrounded by fairies, sometimes I can feel their sparkly larkles around me. Sometimes, I even question my own sanity.
until something happens to make me realize that it is not my imagination at all.....
I went to a meditation a few nights ago for a healing of a friend and I 'saw' a wolf and called him in... the next day - the friend who had the healing - pulled the wolf card from her card pack...
when I attended the Doreen Virtue seminar last year - I bought a book by her husband about power animals and it resonated with my soul.....
just last week a friend sent me this link to find your power animal - it is a wonderful tool... for those times when you need a little help & guidance from our animal friends (turn your sound on)

You are certainly covering all your bases, spiritually that is! I know I find all traditons and teachings fascinating!
So it's already Thursday there! I'm about to go meet with my Wedesday night group of crafty friends! Woohoo!

My amakuna(spirit guides) are:
A honu, sea turtle in hawaiian. I have one tattooed to my lower back.
A Bear, I carry a blessed bear claw and small fetish of one since the sweat lodge.
A Panther..
I think you should recognise the spirits of guidance, life is easier with them.. :)
Peace and bright blessings to you Robyn..

Mine is a lioness. I didn't like that..I don't know why, so I cheated, and clicked a different spot. Three times..!!LOL
And guess what, I got a lioness each time...I guess I got the message huh..?!
A psychic once told me my spirit guide was a heron.

You are all inclusive in your beliefs Robyn, a very open-minded evolved soul. Native spirituality is also very close to my heart. I dream of birds a lot, although not for a while now. I hope they come back to me in my dreams. My husband's totem is also a wolf! What magnificent creatures. What is the wolf telling you?

That site was very interesting. It came up a peacock for me. I had never thought of one as my power animal, but it indicated a closeness to family. That does fit me a lot as I am extremly close to mine. I love peacocks so I am going to give this more thought. As for your home I believe I would feel very easy there. I have a very eclectic belief system too. You will find a bit of everything in my home. I would love to see some photos of some of your things if you would care to share them on a post or in email

Ditto!!!! You reach a certain "age" in this life and can live your life on your terms...so I say lump what others think and go for it sweetie! This tool was wonderful! In this time and circumstance in my life I need the Panther's courage and watchful patience. I like what it said to leap from the tree and devour life! Very cool! I love you ms. Robyn!!!!!!xxxooo

I think my guiding animal is the bear.
I know for a fact that both of my grandmothers are a fox and eagle respectively.
NOthing weird about you Robs. I guess I am weird too, must be our Capricorn connection!
xoxo
I love your rituals...

I don't think it's weird at all - as you recently said to me, what's normal anyway?
Though I have my own idea on my animal totems, I'm looking forward to checking out this link - thanks!

Btw - I loved the 'sparkly larkles' line!
xo

I have really tried to figure mine out but can just never get one to settle with me. Maybe that says something? I keep thinking it would be cool if one turned out to be a frog. lol

I don't think you're crazy at all. If it works for you that's what is important. I enjoyed the link to the power animals site. I had been told several years ago that the brown bear was my totem animal but I concentrated on an existing problem and found that the polar bear is my power animal! I guess either way I'm a bear!!
Thank you for being just who you are....I personally wouldn't want you to be any different. You're always truthful, interesting, and you make me think.

I think you should do what makes you happy and feel good in your home. I am very sure someone could look into my life and label me as weird also. If I had to be normal or weird?? Well I would pick weird every time.lol

Hugs,
Connie

I had to tell you this! You know that I have been thinking a good bit about my animal totems and have been just a tad frustrated at never coming up with anything. Today on my walk I saw a groundhog. Initially, I was thinking it strange that he was out in the open like that and that he was completely oblivious to me or simply didn't care. He never flinched. Then I started thinking...I've seen a lot of groundhogs out lately, especially when walking but even from the car. And then, OHMYGOSH! I wonder if groundhogs are ever totems? As soon as I got home, I looked it up and sure enough, it fit me perfectly. I'm so excited. Hmmm, now to connect it to a chakra. :) I knew if anyone would understand my excitement, it would be you.

I just entered The Enchanted Forest and found my dolphin. With his help, "your words will flow more easily. You will come into your own power as a communicator of both feelings and ideas, as his intelligence fills you with confidence in expressing yourself." Right now I am looking for a job in the communication field and I believe my dolphin is going to help me in this. I'm amazed to find a dolphin, because I've always selected dolphin (or sea otter) as the animal I would choose to be.
