the Sacred Lotus......my new home away from home

come with me......

as we walk down the path.... a white feather wafts down on an invisible wind..... seemingly from nowhere..look up... not a bird to be seen.

YES! this happened to me this morning while I was walking down the path.. a white feather for me from the angels......

welcome to my new find.... the sacred lotus.... the hippy shop that I 'discovered' a few weekends ago.. now one of my favourite haunts.
the place that inspired *the Hippy swap*

step back in time, to those peace & love days.... the days of our youth.

bells & elephants...

Buddha, Kwan Yin and tibetan peace flags....

light shades, bangles & incense

my home is starting to look very much like this... I love it!!!!

purchases today included faery & geranium incense, a black & white rose skirt & a batik light shade.... gawd knows where it is going....

OMG Robyn, this looks just like a store here in a town called Berkeley.(was always a hippie town, still is) I recently bought a Tibetan woven backpack I use for a purse there - I spent so much time in that store trying to make up my mind that I left with only one thing. lol! I can see why you love going to your shop. I have one of those strings of bells that hangs on our gate and prayer flags I still haven't hung outside from another store. I can see us shopping together calling one another over "look, look at this - did you see THIS?"lol! I like that your shop is in what looks like a house.
And the white feather...very magical! I can definitely understand your wanting to keep going back.
XOXO
sorry, got carried way with this long comment.

Oh Robyn, this is so my kind of store. I want to go shopping there. Can you imagine a few of us all shopping together in there, I hope the owners are laid back because we would be so over excited if they weren't we would drive them mad. I can smell the insense and oil smells these shops always have. Oh a Head Shop survives into the 21st century. I love it.

You are so lucky to have such a wonderful place like this to shop! My area is pretty conservative, we don't have anything like this until you get to Salt Spring Island and that feels all contrived. You found the real deal, perfect for you, yay!

What a very cool place you've found, Miss R!

I really enjoyed reading your post about the old bookstore/old books & old shopkeeper - I could identify with not wanting to alter something that meant so much to him. I read and enjoyed it - just couldn't comment on it at the time!
Hope you're having a lovely weekend. xo

But the the tea sounds lovely...I long to sit before a silver tea service and have a "proper tea" one day!!
