Monday & a waning moon

breathe, breathe - Miss Full moon has gone - she is on her waning way to the New Moon. Lord help us ! Next time I come back, I am gonna come back as a man - no moon swings !

Yesterday was spent in my garden, noticing that Mother earth is lulling the plants into a false sense of autumn.... PLEASE DON'T LISTEN, PLANTS!!!! it is February here and we will get heat waves like nothing on earth, more like Mars - and the poor plants will have dropped their leaves and will be burnt to a crisp. I mulched yesterday and did a little watering. Sunday is one of our allowable days. I still feel guilty when I water but I refuse to let my plants die. I look on my garden as a part of this world that I have been given to look after - so I do it with loving care. That is where the REAL me lives, in my garden, out of my body & in my soul. yes, I am odd - a fruit loop as Joe affectionately calles me.

I just felt like taking some photos yesterday, around my garden. . . .

remember the flowering pink gum flowers that I bought myself a few weeks ago? well, theyt died so I hung them out on my verandah. They are beautiful in death too, are they not?

these are some hips on one of my roses - amazing colour and shape! My garden is lovely, just gorgeous - I am a lucky girl - I have green hands, not green thumbs.

Joe made me this birdhouse - we had a french magazine and although we couldn't read the words, we certainly could understand the photos. There was a birdhouse just like this and oneday Joe made this for me. He has made me many, many birdhouses and some of them were featured in a magazine a few years ago - then I saw them sprouting up all over the place!

Joe did a great job on the birdhouse. I love seeing other peoples gardens. Thanks for sharing yours. All the talk about Simple abundance has me pulling out the book again. I went through it when it was first published. Its full of good wisdom. I hope you enjoy it.

I've been out of touch with everyone the last couple of days, and as I'm catching up, I seeyou've been feeling down and I'm so sorry - and sorry I didn't see it earlier so I could give you (((hugs))) - but glad you seem to be feeling better now. I know I have days where it seems like I'm on the outside looking at everyone else smiling and laughing and it's not a good feeling at all. I wish we all could feel the love in the world for us at once. Sending you much love and (((hugs))).
P.S. And those photos are wonderful - what a beautiful garden you've made Robyn! What a great job your Joe did on that bird house too - it (all the photos really) look as though they should be in a garden magazine pictorial. Gorgeous!
XOXO

Hi Robyn!

Just read your last few posts and I'm so sorry that you've been feeling this way. I won't give advice or try and part with any kind of *wisdom* because I'm not qualified too, really.

Blogging for me is a joy, so my own blog tends to be upbeat. Trust me, I have real issues that I contend with in life (like I've been dealing with the divorce of my parents for the last couple of years...messy.). I guess my blog is an escape, something like my *ideal* world. So it's not that I'm being dishonest about my nature, it's just that my blog is a little sanctuary for me. :)

As for people coming and going...it happens. I made a decision a while ago to really read an entry if I am going to comment on someones blog, instead of skimming and saying two words. I'd rather write a response that is a little thought out and in depth. So, I don't get to everyon'es blogs as often as I used too!!

Love your birdhouse - your hubby is sweet yeah? And I know what you mean about gardening - I love it too - I just love plants. Although, it's so hot and dry here I'm struggling to keep them alive. Poor things.

Be well, and be blessed! Lots of love,
Shell.

Check it out, it is *so* uplifting. I just can't get enough of this gal's writing. She's on a break at the moment, but it's a beautiful read to go through past posts. I just thought you might like it is all. :)

Had trouble posting on this blog Robyn so I left a comment on the old blog concerning "No subject at all". Nice to see you are enjoying an early Spring. Wish it were here now. Nice thing thou is that New Willy here didn't see his shadow so I guess we are looking to having an early one as well.

Hi miss*R
This is a beautiful post. I know absolutely nothing about plants or gardening. I was spoiled because I grew up with my mother's gardens. They were wild and colorful; none of this color coordinated business.

I agree with what you say about gardens. A carefully tended garden makes the world a better place. I find gardeners to be so peaceful and focused.

I continue to enjoy the presence of Miss Chakra -- even though Tarzan sometimes picks her up, thinking that she is a large toy mourse.

You seem to find peace and "grounding" (pun intended) in your garden. Your plants seem to take care of you too. Thank you for sharing your garden with us. Mine is an absolute catastrophe I'm afraid. I hope to rectify that soon. Our spring is here, thank the Goddess! I'm almost out of winter.

I love the birdhouse which Joe made for you! especially the tin roof!
I posted a birdhouse for "Simple Sunday" today...my weekly gratitude post. You are in the throws of summer's heat...which zaps many of us...while my birdhouse is in the frozen winter (I found it-the birdhouse- years ago at a flea market!)

Luxuriate in your garden, and the birdhouse your wonderful Joe made. We all should cultivate our "gardens."

Hi sweetpea! I lurve your birdie house... yes it does look like one of those fancy ones out of some french magazine... very posh! I saw one once that was a replica of the house it hung next to... very cute. Lots of love, Nic xox.

Hi Robyn,

I love the bird house your soulmate has made for you! I just love it when you post about your garden!

You know I wanna be honest here, for me blogging is something beautiful, of which I want to get happiness and contentness, good ideas and inspirations, just as if I'm reading my favourite home and garden magazines. That is why usually I prefer to read more light hearted blogs, but I still come here lurking from time to time and of course I still like you and feel for you as a blogging friend! I'm really sorry for you, that you are going through such an emotional rollercoaster in your life and I hope that you will find something that makes you happier soon!

Maybe you like to try to do a comment on my blog now that blogger has finally let me change to the new version, who knows, maybe it'll work this time!?!

Hugs Carol xox

Hi Robyn...love birdhouses....especially when a family of birds moves in....it's the most precious thing watching those scrawny baby birds sticking their necks out for food.

hi robyn
what a precious little birdhouse joe made you - i can't wait to hear who moves in. how wonderful you have a garden to put your loving, nurturing, and creative energy into. i'm sorry to hear about the draughts in australia - prayers for mother earth...
your comment on my blog was heartfelt and touching. i hesitate to be even that honest about my days although i wish i could be even more honest. i'll save that for my dearest friends who really care about me. it wasn't until my last doctor - i researched to find a good woman psyciatrist, knowledgeable about women's hormones, and one who was a specialist in medication. for most of my life i considered myself somewhat of a purist - vegetarian, herbal remedies vs 'drugs'. when i could no longer function in a way that felt meaningful to me anymore, felt no joy, then i made the switch. it has changed my life, truly. yes, i take 6 different medications, but the days i'm living out are full and worth living. if life feels unbearable, don't stop looking for help, you are worth it, you deserve to live a joyful life.
thank you for your affirmation and support.

I'm glad you're starting to feel better!!!! The garden is beautiful... I love to grow things too, but I seem to have more of a black thumb than anything. It's that whole "watering" thing that gives me problems... *sigh* Who would think that the little growing things need fluids to drink?!
