"There's such a lot of different Annes in me. I sometimes think that is why I'm such a troublesome person. If I was just the one Anne it would be ever so much more comfortable, but then it wouldn't be half so interesting."

a gift

with all the lovely gifts that I have been receiving, my daughter Sophie asked me ages ago, if I could ask my friends to send her something. well, no I can't Sophie, it is not good manners to ask people to send you a gift.
My daughter Sophie, my youngest, a child of my heart, the girl who worries me constantly, a gorgeous girl but so naive. So ditzy at times.
She gets sad sometimes as 17 year old girls do and last week I ordered a comfort package from Colette. comfort package

It was plopped on my doorstep today ~ just before Sophie arrived home from flute lesson, just before Valentines day and just as her wicked 'time of the month' arrived.... thankyou Colette..... it made her feel special. the package was full of special little things, all surrounded with gorgeous cerise flowers and two pieces of art by Colette, which are hanging right now on her mirror...
ya know, I realised today, that I just have to grin and bear this girl of mine right now, I have sown the seeds as I did with my other two & I have to trust the universe that everything is as it should be. All I have to do is love her and she will be ok. She will come out the other side of these teen years, ok. She will be a strong, wise woman. lord help me get through it.

Sophie looks just like you! She's beautiful. What a wonderful package to arrive for her and a just the right time. You will both survive and one day look back and laugh over the teen years. Molly and I do from time to time.

Sophie certainly has inherited your beauty!
What a lovely thing to do for her - surprising her with one of Colette's beautiful comfort packages.
I know those last bits of teenage years will be behind you, before you know it and yes, she will be a strong wise woman, just like her Mom!

Hi miss*R
I can't imagine having offspring. I know that the teen years are terrible, both for the teen and for the mom. A friend told her daughter, "That's fine that you are treating me this way, I'll get back at you when menopause comes." Kind of mean, but sort of true.

She is lucky to have such a magical mom. She will come to cherish you, as I did my mom.

I really like the package. You have such an eye for color and texture.

Sophie is beautiful, inside and out. She is yours, how can she be anything else..!
These years are tough..ask Blue..!
We are best friends and Oh, so close now, but 20 years ago..uhuh!
We always loved each other, but I can't say we always liked each other or saw eye to eye.
We are also very alike (not in looks), and that is a big part of the problem.
Hang in there, all will be well, it just takes time.
Hugs

That was a lovely gesture to order one of Colette's Comfort Packages for Sophie - you are a devoted mother. She is as beautiful as you are...so I am sure she has your internal beauty as well. My mom and I had real 'moments' when I was a teen - I think it's part of the whole process...but it does change. I am sure you made her day!
I had one of Colette's pkgs sent to someone - they really do create an uplift and COMFORT. It was such a great idea she had.

Hi Robyn :) Your Sophie is so gorgeous! And what a wonderful thing you did, sending her the Comfort package! Check out my recent posts and you will see we are sharing both this teenage torment & being spoiled in the mail lately! It's not easy, but I only have the one child, so guess I am fortunate in that respect.. it's a strange old time, when both Mother & teenager have raging hormones! ;)
I'll be thinking of you both, and am sending my love xXx Have a beautiful day :)

Your buddy is back Robyn,I'm back to make you laugh with my wickedness hee hee and to keep you jolly. Just read all of your postings I have missed. Time I was back I think. Your Sophie will be a wonderful adult after the troublesome years, you know they usually make good these kids of ours. About your garden, I think everyone gardens as some relation did in the past, I always seem to imitate my grandfather and great grandfather.

You're a sweet mom. I did so much better with toddlers than I have with a teenaged daughter! Maybe I'll come to you for advice.
